Peter Ojuro, M.D.

Peter Ojuro, M.D., gastroenterologist a West Georgia Gastroenterology Associates Dr. Ojuro is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He earned his doctorate in osteopathic medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. He completed his internship and residency at St. Johns Detroit Riverview Hospital in Detroit, Mich., and a fellowship in internal medicine at St. Johns Providence Health System’s Osteopathic Division at Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, Mich.

He’s trained and experienced in the latest approaches to diagnose and treat problems with the digestive system — including alternative nutrition, capsule endoscopy, colonoscopy, advanced endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), high-resolution esophageal manometry and upper endoscopy — as well as the clinical management and treatment of hepatitis B and C, inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS), ulcerative colitis and more. He previously practiced at Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, N.Y., and Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Ga.
